happy new year and new baby bump!

it's still little, but it's growing. the bump does tend to be a little more round in the evening (thanks to all the night time bubbles in my belly). things are going well and i'm definitely feeling better. haven't been sick in a while, now i'm just exhausted. the other night chris had duty and i was in bed by 8:30pm!

we've decided to start weekly belly pics so here is the first one (do you like the the navy game is playing in the background?). i think it will be fun to see how much i change over these next 6 months. we are at 12 1/2 weeks now and baby should be almost the size of a peach. glad to annouce that all is well.

we're off to friend's for new year's this evening. no clue how i'm going to stay awake. i'd better go take a nap. happy new year & cheers to 2010!

we saw him! he's definitely in there! we won't really know if he's actually a he until february sometime but i think chris is hoping that if we continue to call him a he then it will just work out that way. we had our 1st ultrasound on dec. 18th and got to see our little baby doing what looked like the robot, nice moves! we also got to hear his sweet little heartbeat which sounds good & strong. i've made it 6 days now without being sick and am hoping i'm out of the woods with the whole barfing thing. totally worth it but not my favorite.
we finally got to share the news with our parents yesterday on christmas. obviously, everyone is very excited. we are looking forward to telling suzie & rich in a couple days. i'm really hoping suz is still up for coming out to san diego to be my helper. we had a fabulous christmas-must admit that one of my favorite gifts was the tiny USNA P.T. gear that betsy sent.
