i went to bed last night feeling the need to adjust my focus and work on being truly and genuinely more present with my girls and less on my multi-tasking skills and simply getting through the day and it’s challenges with two babes.
i found myself this morning sitting on the bathroom floor, emilymae in my lap, anabelle on the potty (this isn’t the first time for this scenario). of course i was working on some laundry in the middle of all that too – have to squeeze it in somewhere. ok, i was sitting . . . i looked down and studied emilymae’s sweet sleepy face. i looked up and shared a smile with my growing beautiful anabelle in all her naked potty time glory (lots of successes lately, by the way!).
not much later i hopped on facebook for a quick peek and found this shared on a friend’s page from Proverbs 31 Ministries. it’s perfect. it’s just what was on my mind and such a good reminder. today is today and it won’t be here tomorrow.
so, with that said, off to my girls. time to kiss their little noses. feel their super soft skin. listen to them breathe. tell them i love them. make today the special day it is – we are all together and that is all the special i need.
i am so thankful to be a momma, to have my momma, and to share this chapter with such wonderful momma friends!
finally got our pictures from our newborn shoot (5 weeks later).
anyway, this is one of my favorites of our little crew!
what am i still doing on the computer?! signing off now!

You truly have your priorities right! Good life principles to live by!
This is something I realized a few months back, especially being a full-time working mama. My time with mase is precious, and now I spend more time with him on the weekends than doing the things I "should" be doing...the house isn't as clean as I'd like, but we're LIVING :)
