chris and i recently went to our 11th marine corps ball together. thanks for the invite, muggy!
i was feeling a little anxious about being away from emilymae and the logistics of having both girls at the hotel with us but it all managed to work out great – thanks to three incredible ladies, their big hearts and special talents.
momma – thanks for my awesome dress. i think it might have been my favorite ever!
christal – thanks for waving your magic ‘sassy’ wand over me and making me feel so gorgeous (& a dash different) with my hair and makeup!
oh and thanks for squeezing in anabelle’s trim too.
*if you need any help sassy-ing up or just a new ‘do, go see christal at teasers in pacific beach. i can give you her number*
amy - i can’t thank you enough for spending the evening with my emilymae and sharing your momma love!
tadah!
getting ready is one of the most fun parts of the night. yah, happy faces!
the squadron arranged for free childcare at the hotel so we helped anabelle pack her backpack with goodies, she grabbed carter, and was ready to go!
she was pretty impressed with papa’s fancy uniform too.
a few more snuggles and a little more milk before getting dressed.
alright, miss amy has arrived! i guess it’s time to go.
bigger tadah!
so, how do we look?!
please notice the sweet purple suede wedges too!
oh and all of those shiny metals!
we had a great night but it sure went by fast. crazy how quickly the party is over when you have to go upstairs twice, change out of your dress to nurse the baby, and to put the big girl to bed. who gets to ‘wear’ their ball dress multiple times though?! ha ha!
i was pretty impressed with how quickly i transformed our swanky hotel room into a family friendly slumber party.
bringing the tent was chris’ idea and it worked out perfect.
the next morning we ordered room service, jumped on the bed, watched the boats in the harbor . . .
and then went for a walk to go ride the carousel at seaport village.
such a great weekend - definitely a ball like no other!
