sun kisses

about a month ago anabelle noticed a spot on the back of her wrist that she wanted me to wash off.  ‘clean it’ she said.
she’s not a huge fan of being dirty whether it’s paint, food, a temporary tattoo, etc.

she showed me the spot – it was her very first freckle.

i showed her some of my freckles and explained to her that we get these from the sun.
when we play outside we soak up the sun’s light and can get freckles on our skin, sort of like little kisses from the sun.

and so was born (at least in our anabelle dictionary) . . . sun kisses!

‘right there, right there’ she says.
