april activities

yep, still a bit behind on posts but working through my list of ‘thoughts’.  there were a bunch of fun outings in april so I’ll just share them all together.

easter was right before April so I’ll just start there.

yipee - she’s 3!

last wednesday our anabelle turned 3 and it really seems to suit her!

 

i took her out for a mini birthday photo shoot a few weeks back.  a couple balloons didn’t make the car ride to the park but we had a lot of fun and i was pretty impressed with how my pictures came out!

 

she kept moving and posing and i just kept clicking away.

i think this little family of mine is quite fabulous and it feels so amazing when at the end of these busy, happy, tiring days chris and i sit together (or just stop for a second in the kitchen)
and say ‘man, our girlies are pretty incredible!’

the promise of animal crackers might have been used as a teeny bribe for photo cooperation.
she was pretty sneaky digging them out of my bag.

we aren’t quite to the birthday party stage yet and love having our own little celebrations together.  i set up a few things the night before . . and peeked in on her on my way to bed.

 

the morning started with playtime with papa (he went in a smidge later so we could get the festivities kicked off all together).  anabelle got a stash of dress up hats from grandma & grandpa.
i’m pretty sure this one is my favorite.

then we were off to cantina for a ‘silly’ face pancake.  not sure why but she usually asks for a silly or a sad pancake.  i got her a ‘3’ candle and we sang happy birthday together . . . 4 times!  she figured out how to blow it out and kept saying ‘one more time please.’

after that we went to see my stylist christal for a special birthday ‘do!  anabelle asked for 8 braids so christal worked her magic and made it happen.  it looked great and definitely special.

 

it was such a fun day to spend with anabelle and to enjoy the spirit of her 3 year old sparkle!
