I’m pretty sure chris talked about someday attempting a turkish get-up with baby before we were ever pregnant. well, tadah, he did it! here you go – chris & anabelle’s first turkish get-up. not bad!
(it’s usually done with a kettlebell)

at 1:50 pm, I find myself still lost in the awesome-ness, strength, love, & breathtaking magic of my friend and this shared morning.
I am still processing.
I am blessed.
god is good!
second trimester already?! here we are, week 15. all of my denial at the beginning of this pregnancy sure is going to make these months seem to go by fast.
as you can probably tell, i’m sporting the same dress in my weekly pics. i tried to do a good stretch test on it in the store, but we’ll have to wait and see if it can really hang in until week 40.
baby is supposed to be approximately 4 inches long right now and growing eyebrows & eyelashes even though baby’s eyes are still sealed shut for now. as for me, i’m still eating several times a day, have the seat in my truck reclined pretty far back, and am pretty sure i need to pull out my exercise ball again soon.. i’m also trying to remember the best positions for all of my pillows at night and trying not to crowd chris too much.
anabelle has started to be pretty silly at times & is great entertainment!
here she is playing after breakfast one morning.
she’s a great snuggler too.
watching a little tv with papa while he snoozes.
missing papa last saturday morning when he was on the road.
her hair is getting so long!
i love getting to listen in on the two of them during bath time.
she seems to grow overnight & some days looks like such a big girl,
last week was week 14 and i’ve been feeling pretty good. i’m pretty sleeping once 8pm rolls around . . ok, maybe even 7pm.
i still struggle a bit coming up with what to prepare for dinner. i have figured out that if i can decide on a plan by lunch time then i do a lot better. it’s the prep part that still triggers the ‘icky’.
i’ve collected all of my maternity clothes after their cross country tour (it’s so nice to be able to share with other preggo friends) and am trying to figure out what fits right now – i’m definitely in the ‘in between’ stage.
today was the first morning in nearly nineteen months that i haven’t nursed my anabelle. i think my heart is aching a little – or maybe that’s just my boobs.
xo
so proud of us!
i will miss it, no doubt, but i know it will be a good break for me before baby #2 arrives. thanks, anabelle!
this past weekend we took a little stay-cation out to coronado. the weather was amazing and it was so nice to be in an open space with no agenda (other than finding regular meals for me) and no distractions. anabelle didn’t seem to be a big fan of her pack-n-play while we were there but that was the only challenge. once we were back home she slept through the night without a peep, fabulous!
it took anabelle a little time to get used to the sand again, it had been a while.
(you might want to turn the volume down, it was pretty windy out there)
enjoying the sunshine together
sunday morning i woke up first but didn’t want to leave my two loves.
hooray, they’re up!
